I've considered myself a gamer for a very long time. For most of that time, I'd say that I was a diehard Nintendo supporter. I was pretty hardcore about the much hated Gamecube era and even an early adopter of the Wii.

However, they've let me down so much over the past few years that I have to question their corporate strategy and long-term initiatives. Most of the software on their current platform has become gimmicky and very non-essential. Even some of the first-party franchises I love so much have been absent from this generation (Starfox... Pikmin??).

I bring this up because my wife got my a PSP the other day. Yes, I'm aware the hardware is six or seven years old, but they are quite cheap right now with the Vita coming out and all. The software is dirt cheap as well.

Either way, I think I'm becoming a diehard Sony supporter these days and leaving Nintendo behind.

You'll always be my first love, Mario.

Hello, Ventilation. It's October. I felt like dusting the cobwebs with some casual smalltalk.

I listened to ZZ Top's Deguello album last night without interruptions just laying on my sofa and taking in all the musical textures. It was nice.

It made me wish for a simpler time where we weren't psychologically moving at a million miles a minute. I tell myself I couldn't live without some of these technologies we have now (smartphones, etc.), but, in reality, I think I might be happier without those things. Despite denying this, I think a lot of people would be happier without these modern age distractions.

I'm slowly working on a new collection of songs myself. I need to get my own studio setup one of these years. It's going slowly, but these songs are certainly interesting.

It's almost ten years old, so I guess it's a paperweight, but I'd like to think it could be useful for someone or some purpose.

Toshiba PocketPC e310... with the cutting edge Pocket PC 2002. Cost me a pretty penny back in the day... not sure what to do now with it...

Read on if you dare...

I did a little thing this year called 27 Saturdays.

A bunch of people complained and said it was lame to download one track a week. I made a torrent now that everything's been released.

You can download it here.

Give it a go and see if it works.

So I broke down and got a new PC yesterday. It's a fairly bare bones affair, but my upstairs PC from 2002 died and I needed a new one up there anyway.

The irony of it is that the "old" one I'm now moving upstairs no longer turns on. It's like the damn power button is broken. There's no lights or anything and it just did it without warning.

At least I can play some newer games now with the new PC, I guess.
