Brandon: Piece of Cake
So, I got the new Cake album a couple weeks ago. This one is called B-Sides and Rarities, and is pretty much a collection of covers and a couple originals. Overall the album has a bit too much country for my taste. However, any band that puts Mahna-Mahna on their album gets credit in my book. Basically, though, it's Cake. The live version of War Pigs which ends the album is a bit better than the studio version that begins it.
Another bonus is the scratch-and-sniff cover art. I got roses, or something. Not as many car references in this album, but, there is the cover art, as you can see above, or to the left, or whatever.
Anyway, I liked the album, but not as much as their previous release, Pressure Chief. I'd say its a must for fans, but if you aren't sure you should check out the samples of the tracks on the website
Mmmmm: Cake
Simpsons: Movie, tonight.
Midnight: showing? Should I go?
