Brandon: This is the last post about VALVe, I promise.
Ok, so VALVe has not yet acknowledge that there is indeed a problem with Half-Life 2, I did manage to get it running...
By taking out one of my DIMMs and running with 512mb of RAM.
That's right, I had to modify my hardware configuration to make the stupid game work. Jeez, I'm no ubercoder, but I would think that that would be a pretty large bug that should have been sniffed out, or at least acknowledged.
The game is pretty badass though. The physics are rather realistic, and the Gravity Gun allows some pretty interesting tactics. Not to mention the story is great, even when you don't even really know for sure what is going on.
On another note, I am picking up Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater today, I figure that will keep me occupied while they take time to patch HL2. Anyone got any idea what the online component of the game is though?

The camo itself is just a novelty. It has no use in the game.
The game is quite fun, though.
