Final Fantasy VI is coming to GBA too, I think.

I didn't get into the whole "Square RPG" thing until FFIII (I'm talking US version, I don't know what the Japanese equivalent is). Personally, I'd like to see these come to the DS, with the action up top and the menus down below.

Menus have always worked fine on a separate screen. I don't think the DS is any better for the ability to have them visible at the same time as everything else. I mean, really, does it take that long, is it that much of a bother, to push one button to open a menu screen and another to close it?

I'm not saying the DS is bad for RPGs, I'm just saying putting your menu screens on the second screen is not using the technology to its best advantage.

Put classic RPGs on GBA. That's my opinion.

I was actually speaking of the battle menus. Having them on a seperate screen gives them more draw space and less need for abbrieviations and tiering them would give the player the ability to see their entire "command line".

However, having the main menus, with all of their data, expecially experience, currency, and experience until next level always up and visible would be a huge asset. Sure, these may take only 2 or 3 seconds to bring up and lookat, but you'd be surprised how fast 2 or 3 seconds adds up over the course of an RPG.
