Brandon: The worst timeline.
I keep thinking I'm going to wake up and the last three years will have all been a bad dream.
I know politicians are corrupt, but I could not imagine how blatantly corrupt they are. It's like they don't even care. It's obvious they care more about their jobs than what is right.
I wrote my Senators expressing my feelings. How their silence makes me wonder just how many laws they break to stay into office. Of course the single reply was just a form letter, probably from some keywords or something in my letter.
What frustrates me the most is that people I know, people that I care about, educated, intelligent people, are fine with what is going on. They sit in their echo chamber and listen to lies and misinformation fed to them and are not willing to understand the facts.
It's madness, I tell you, madness.
Also, I support Hong Kong. I'm glad that they are fighting for their rights and what is just. I hope they succeed.

1: Trump is a short term strategy to provide political cover for them to get some dirty work done. All they have to do is stay in his shadow. When he leaves office they will also follow in a mass exodus, having secured their personal futures. Remaining politicians will draw things back down and in in response to public outcry over corruption.
2: Trump is a long term strategy to push the frontiers of corruption past their breaking point and see how the public responds. Whatever he gets away with gets added to the playbooks for future use. These actions will also seem less bizarre in the future.
I?m hoping for 1 but betting on 2. The number of media personalities that have thrown in fully with Trump (and are obviously in on strategy) lead me to believe they couldn?t possibly expect this to be over soon.
Ranking Dems, by the way, are complicit in both scenarios.
I do think, however, that they lost full control of their patsy about a year ago. Whatever leverage they had must have lost its luster.
Sounds crazy, I know. It?s the only way I can make sense of everyone?s actions, though.
