I doubt it. At this point nintendo has less than 15% market share. The XBOX360 is out there waaaaaay ahead of the curve and gamers have been salivating for the PS3. Honestly, I think that the Wii is going to be the last nail in the coffin on Nintendo's console business. Nintendo is really set to go the way of Sega.

I don't know it will bring Nintendo back on top, but I think it will do rather well.
It will take some time, of course. Once people actually use the unit, I think they will understand just how cool it is.
Will it appeal to everyone? Nope. Heck, the XBox 360 crowd will probably just laugh at it.
So yeah, while it probably won't put Nintendo back on top, I bet it will do better than the GC.
I agree that XBox owners will likely be difficult to sway, but all that I can see that the system has going for it is exclusives like Halo. I admit, I've never played Halo (I've only touched an XBox controller twice), but aren't there a plethora of FPS's for the PC, and with much better control options?
Also, I've got to think that a FPS would be much more fun with the Wii controler than the 360's. 'Course, we can probably expect copycat perepherals in the future, but with limited game functionality.
From what I've read, just about everyone who's actually gotten their hands on a Wii, most notably the third-party developers who could just as easily ignore it if they so chose, seems to find it very functional. If it didn't work or wasn't enjoyable, we'd be seeing the third-parties pulling out left and right. I'm wondering how and how well it will work myself, but the point I'm making is it seems like the people who would know, the people who have been able to try it out and work with the technology both in and outside of Nintendo itself, seem to be throwing their support behind it.
