I played Super Smash on the 64 and hated it. The game would have been fun were it not for the psychotic camera moves, which ruined the game play entirely for me.
Brandon - if you want to part with your copy of HL2, I still need to play it - computer's STILL not upgraded though. One of these days.
As for Smash Bros. - what gives with putting none-Nintendo characters in it? I don't know how I feel about Snake in the game honestly... in fact, sometimes I don't know how I feel about Smash Bros.
I'll probably still buy Brawl though since I am a consumer whore.
There have been non-Nintendo published characters in the game before. (Marth springs to mind). Edit: Okay, looks like that was an internal development team...but still
Remember, Twin Snakes, the remake of Metal Gear Solid, appeared on the Gamecube, not to mention the fact that ports of the original Metal Gear games were on the NES. So Snake has some Nintendo cred.
Snake might have "some Nintendo cred," but most of the characters have been from Nintendo exclusive franchises in the past two versions, which covers Marth, I believe. Personally, I don't think this Snake guy belongs in the game, but whatever. It seems like it might be cool, at least a game to try at some point.
I'd like to see maybe a character from the Advance Wars series or maybe a Pikmin-related character. I get what David's saying about Snake's Nintendo cred, but he really isn't a Nintendo franchise character. I think my problem is he's going to be boring... basically like a more realistic version of Captain Falcon or Ganondorf, I think.
