David: Taxes, Loopholes, Killers, and Nintendo
Letting temporary tax cuts expire is not "raising taxes" any more than a sale at the grocery store ending is "raising prices".

Also, where is this list of loopholes that we can close? Has it materialized yet? I would take this plan seriously if it existed anywhere outside of hypothesis.

Assassin's Creed 3 was a bit of a disappointment. I imagine Hitman Absolution will be as well, but I'm too far invested in both franchises not to remain a fan.

Anybody getting a Wii U at launch? The whole system looks like a pass for me. At least until it has a Zelda title. Which will probably be another disappointment.

I've sadly checked out of Nintendoland for the foreseeable future. Wii was an utter disappointment for me with very few hardcore games and even some of the core first-party franchises not being represented on the system. Also, this generation is the first where Nintendo felt completely separate from the other two consoles getting very few of the games that were available on all other platforms (often simultaneously). I'm sure this is due to hardware limitations, but it was a horrible oversight by Nintendo which they seem to have carried over with the new Wii U hardware. I used to ride hard with the hardest of Nintendo fanboys and I even championed the very underrated Gamecube, but Wii left a sour taste in my mouth I'm going to be trying to wash out for a while.

I waited in line overnight at the Wii launch. It was a disappointment for us. The Wii U did not appeal enough for us to get it right away. Maybe for Christmas... Or sometime next year when/if prices drop. I don't have much time for gameplay right now but Halo 4 got excellent reviews and the first part so far seems to be a good pick-me-up for the series (which had been suffering in the storyline department)
