David: Um, Go Check This Out
I don't really want the kind of Google search hits that this post at my site might generate directing to Brandon's website, but I do want to share this.

So, if you've got a few minutes to read about ignorance at large, you can do it here.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled Ventilation.

David: Really, Bill? Really?
An email sent out to Hillary Clinton supporters:

Quote President William Jefferson Clinton
Dear Friend,

This is a hard-fought campaign. You and I both know it. And now the Obama campaign has upped the stakes again.

In just 24 hours, you closed the $1.3 million advertising gap with Obama this week. In response, their campaign has bought another $1.9 million worth of airtime.

For Hillary to win on March 4, we must close this gap -- and we have to do it quickly. We cannot let this race be decided by Obama's spending advantage on the air.

I think that it's also being decided by his superior debate performances, ideas and ethics, but I'm sure the ads don't hurt either...

Quote Prez Clinton
Help Hillary make up the $1.9 million spending gap in 24 hours with your contribution today.

I'm sure you figured, "Hell, if we can talk them into putting $1.3 million into our sinking ship in just one day, how much more are they good for?" Sadly, I think that you may have tapped out those left willing to donate.

Quote Bill Clinton
The ads we put on the air matter. The number of phone calls we make matters. The rides we give to the polls matter. And most important of all, what you do right now matters.

We have the best candidate with the best ideas -- and she's a fighter. She's knows that you are standing with her every step of the way.

So let's show the Obama campaign that they can't win this race just by throwing more money at it.

...by throwing more money at it...

Quote Clinton, Bill
Let's match that $1.9 million ad buy of his and make sure this is a race of ideas, because that's a race that we know Hillary will win.

Since when has a political ad contained a candidates ideas?

Quote President Clinton
Contribute now to help us raise $1.9 million in 24 hours.

You've shown Hillary that you are there for her when she needs you, and it means so much to the both of us. Thank you for all you do.

Sincerely,
Bill Clinton

David: Master Debater
The (perhaps last) Democratic Debate moves to Ohio tonight.

Two things that are sure to come up; NAFTA and perhaps the larger trade issue and health care.

On NAFTA it'll be a debate over who loves it more. Both candidates have a history of postive commentary on NAFTA, and both lose when trying to claim that they've always been against it. This issue is pretty much a wash, but they'll trade blows on it, nonetheless.

Health care will be discussed again. Obama needs to clarify Clinton's true position on this this time around. If she attempts to compare her proposed mandate to Social Security or taxes, Obama needs to point out the difference between paying money into government funds and paying money to private insurance companies. While Obama's health care plan does amount to making deals with the insurance companies to lower costs, it does not just hand the entire U.S. population to them on a silver platter.

Personally, I'm anxious to see if Clinton will keep her, "Shame on you, Barack Obama" and "...celestial choirs..." B.S. demeanor for this debate, or if she'll play it sane.

David: A CNN Story on Religion
According to this, only 4% of U.S. citizens describe themselves as atheists or agnostics. This troubles me.

Edit: Dude, I forgot the link...

David: Please Donate to Hillary
She needs the money for a new jacket. I'm sick of the bumblebee look she's got going.

See the jacket here. Also notice how, for someone who has been preaching for "change", she seems to be saying that Washington won't, which is why she's the best candidate.

Hillary on Change
