David: 34 Hours and Counting
And I'm damn skippy there won't be news reports of beatings and angry mobs on Sunday morning.

Well, at least not in relation to the Wii.

Hyrule awaits. Again.

David: Giddy With Anticipation
The Wii launch is now a mere 83 hours away, at least here it is. You east coasters have an hour more to procure one.

I will be breaking my self imposed Wal-Mart ban in the interests of having one of these wonderful items at the zero hour. I will then remain awake for the next 24 hours.

Oh, and that other console launches on Friday, though its rarity and expense, not to mention no particular reason to own it (yet) preclude the idea of buying one.

David: Guitar Hero II FTW
Okay, I've always mocked DDR players. I've thought rhythm games were stupid ever since I first layed eyes on "Parrapa the Rappa".

So anyhow, I'm walking through Best Buy (I wasn't going to spend any money. I've got a policy against that.) in order to waste some time over lunch. I was perusing the DS games when I passed by a Guitar Hero II setup. Nobody was around, so I thought, "What the hell. It'll be fun to pretend to play War Pigs."

Damn, I enjoyed myself.

When I got home I was telling my wife how much fun I'd had.

Later, she left to go the store. Jokingly I said, don't forget to pick up that Guitar Hero game.

She did.

So, if you happen to walk through your local video game retailer's establishment, and you see a guitar controller in front of a screen, pick it up and give it a try.

It's fun.

The End.

David: See, Kansas is Blueish
Jim Ryun, Out of Office
Phil Kline, Out of Office
Governor Sebelius, Reelected

Our friends just accross the border were torn, but the slim majority voted to kick Jim Talent to the curb. Way to go Missour-UH! I have my doubts to whether McCaskill (sp?) is worth much more than words, but Talent was just another GOP lapdog.

Oh, and I wasn't the only one who hated kids, as a good majority said no to spending millions on a soccer complex in Johnson County.
