David: American Idiot
Elsewhere on Internets, I used the term "American Idiot". I threw it into a sea of ultra-conservative viewpoints, and immediately realized that this term would be used against me by saying that I had called all Americans idiots, and that I hated my own country. (Sadly, I've been living surrounded by these people long enough that I've started to think like them in some respects.)

Therefore, to avert any misinterpretation, I immmediately provided my own definition of the term, which I will post here:

An American Idiot is one who would do better under a dictator, though they like to think that they are "free". They will follow the majority opinion on any subject, whether right or wrong, and will faithfully follow the choices of their leaders, provided they are of the same denomination/political party. They view the questioning of authority as un-patriotic, even though patriotism in America was defined by the questioning of British rule.

The American Idiot is a minority of the American populous, and yet a large enough portion to swing an election. The American Idiot will shut-up and do as authority says, and argue and whine about anyone who doesn't.

That's what American Idiot means to me, anyway.

Do you agree or disagree?

Apple, I love you.

As a current user of and AirTunes equipped Airport Express, I can testify to how awesome it is to wirelessly stream my music to my stereo. I can only imagine how enjoyable it will be to wirelessly stream video and audio to the TV.

Not to mention that this is finally going to complete my dream of a Mac Mini media center.

My only hope is that there won't be some kind of iTunes lock-in with the iTV (which I could see happening...). If I can only watch stuff I bought from the iTunes store, I'll pass.

Interesting Stuff.

While all of these doodads are interesting, I'm more interested in seeing what's going to be happening to the Finder. I'm sure that there will be some amazing improvements to it this time around.

If you've got time, you might check out the keynote presentation by Jobs&Co. The beginning is interesting when they compare current features of OS X to Vista.
