David: 8-Bit Glory
I scored an original NES and a bunch of games over the weekend for the best price.
FREE!
Of course, it's suffering from the classic NES problem, a flashing power light. I've tried every trick I accumulated over the years for getting cartridges to play, but so far to no avail. When I get some time, I'm going to open it up and give it a good cleaning and check-up.
I also got an original GameBoy and some games with the deal. The GameBoy Advance played GameBoy games in the same slot. The Nintendo DS plays GBA games in a secondary slot. However, due to a little change in the cartridge slot interior, the DS doesn't play GameBoy games. Why Nintendo?! I gave away my Advance! I want to play Link's Awakening on my DS, but you've forbidden that sort of backward's compatibility, forcing me to stare at the ugly screen of an old school GB.
