David: David Blaine. What's the Point?
I know the guy idolizes Houdini, but what's the point of him doing these stunts? Houdini did them to disprove people of his day who made claims that they were using magic or other means.

I mean, really. Wasn't this whole thing just a really theatrical version of hitting yourself in the hand with a hammer repeatedly, and then trying to play the piano afterward?

Maybe I just don't get it.

Then again, how many other close up magicians are getting TV specials? Especially ones that can fly.

A more interesting magic related news bit (a little old)

David: My Personal Opinion...
Nintendo is set to take back it's throne.

David: PS3 = $599
I'm an enthusiastic gamer, to say the least, but...

It's a video game console!

I now predict the rise of HD-DVD. The PS3 was Sony's trojan horse into the market, and, at this price, they blu it.

Today's the day we get juicy Wii details! Can't wait.

RALLY WITH US!

EQUAL RIGHTS FOR TOASTERS!

We will not rest until toasters are allowed to toast at their own leisure, spend all the time they want outdoors, have the right to vote and get married.

You wouldn't believe some of the horror stories we've heard. We can't cite any sources, but we hear tell that in some households, toasters are forced to toast the same piece of bread twice in a row because the first time it wasn't, "done enough". Then, when it comes out blackened and charred, the same toasters are blamed for burning the toast! They can't win!

When not serving the toasting needs of their masters, toasters are forced to remain on the kitchen counter, or, in some of the more terrifying stories, placed in cupboards. These toasters never get to enjoy the outdoors and all its many splendors.

Many toasters in our neighborhood are staging peaceful protests. No toastation without representation! Please, join us in the struggle to free toasters!

David: New Super Mario Bros.
I want this game. I want it soon. In case you haven't seen them, find and watch the trailers for this game. That is some wicked side scrolling platform action.

Luigi better be playable.
