David: Overheard at Best Buy

I was not there of my own volition, I'd first like to point out.

I took a walk down the Wii aisle. A Best Buy employee was talking to a middle-aged man, obviously purchasing a video game for a son or nephew. I began overhearing the conversation in medias res.

Middle-Aged Man (MAM): ...game about?
Young and Enthusiastic Best Buy Employee (Steve): Have you ever heard of Halo 3?
MAM: Yeah...
Steve: It's pretty much the Wii version of that.

I glance over and see that the game in question is Metroid Prime: Corruption. It is at this moment that I realize that Steve has not played Metroid Prime: Corruption. I'd almost venture that Steve has not played Halo 3 either. MAM catches sight of my shaking head as I glance at Steve while walking by, and seems to understand that I am inferring Steve don't know shit, because his next line is,

MAM: Could you just point me in the direction of your sports games?

The movie adaptation of the video game series Hitman is currently in theatres. Its currently got an 11% rating on Rottentomatoes, and I desperately want to see it.

I'll probably have to wait for the DVD, though.

I love the Hitman games. Or rather, maybe I love the idea of the Hitman games. In practice, I often find them frustrating, but planning out and executing a hit always sounds like a good time.

The following may be somewhat spoilerish, so don't read it if you haven't finished Mario's newest adventure and will whine about what I'm typing below. Also, the comments might have a spoiler, so don't read those either.

ZOMG! Spoilerz!

I got all 120 stars, spoiler free.

And I'm glad I did. The reward for doing so has always been a wish of mine.

Suffice it to say, I'm not quite finished with this game.

Oh yeah, and John McClain dies in the end of Live Free or Die Hard. (Not really, I just made that up. (or did I? (I did. (but how can you be sure?))))
