Normally, I would read critical reviews with a grain of salt, but this film is getting torn to shreds. Currently sitting at 33% approval on RottenTomatoes.

Yeah. The reviews are brutal. It's almost like critics are taking joy in demolishing it. Add to that the fact that Snyder bungled Watchmen, made the unwatachable (and racist) mess 300, left me feeling blah with man of Steel and has announced that he wants to adapt The Fucking Fountainhead and I should be unwilling to see BvS. But, well, Batman. So, I'll let ya know what I think when it is all over.

Stepping out of the shadows to say that Watchmen was about as close as a movie could get to the books. It wasn't perfect but I wouldn't say it was bungled.

Man of Steel wasn't my cup of tea, so I'm not holding out hope for bats v supes. I think they're trying too hard to be phase 2 Marvel when they haven't even launched a phase 1. That, and DC characters, besides the dark knight, just aren't that great.

I thought Watchmen was doing okay, until the complete re-write of the ending. Swapping out the threat seemed dumb, and maybe misreads the point of the story.

I agree DC universe aping Marvel Universe. I'd add that the Marvel Universe has likely run its course, as far as I'm concerned. I'll see Civil War, but I have little hope that it will be any good. After that, I am unlikely to go to the theater for any more in this Marvel cycle.

I would add that I loved Deadpool. Deadpool was bad ass!

Almost forgot - DC characters vs Marvel characters

Batman is, of course, the greatest comic book hero of all time.

Second place is a tie between Captain America and Green Arrow (I really wish that someone would make a good screen version of Green Arrow).
