good message? bad copywriting?
Actually it's a very old poem. I read it as a kid. This is the first time I've heard it performed. It's maybe the worst propaganda of all time. I love it. A singing aborted fetus!
Yeah good message. I'm not making a moral judgment when I say that. I mean a message that is a valid starting point for a persuasive argument. A commercial or propaganda is a type of persuasive argument. Copywriting is the structuring of said message. So yes. Good Message(a fetus is not just a collection of cells. It is human life.) Bad Copywriting(a singing fetus that sounds like a saturday morning cartoon somehow knows what the sun shines like).
Nathan Tyree (Overwhelmed by existential angst) says:
I'll accept your first point. However, it is not fair to call poetry (even poetry this laughably bad) 'copy.' The fact that this poem is being performed does not alter its status.
Maybe your right. If this "poem" sprang from a persons mind and then came to be used as anti-abortion propaganda it would not be copy-writing. If, however it was written as anti-abortion propaganda, I would still call it copy.
