Pee Wee on broadway

It was basically a mash up of his kids show and his original 1981 special.

One new bit that made me laugh was his abstinence ring.

I was unimpressed. Plus, Paul Reubens doesn't really seem to be able to be Pee Wee anymore. He seems more like a guy doing an impression of Pee Wee.

Yeah, it seemed tired. The guy is nearly 60 trying to do a character that he originated when he was 30. However, it was nice seeing an audience composed of different elements of his fan base. The children that he entertained are old enough now to appreciate the PG-13 humor that launched his career alongside those that remember the original show. It felt a bit redemptive for the backlash he suffered through in the 90s.
Like I said, only the bit about the ring actually cracked me up. The rest of it just made me smile, but that's enough for me to recommend it.

Has Laurence Fishburne reprised his role as Cowboy Curtis yet?

It was the black guy from Mad TV that isn't Orlando Jones.
