2-HeadedGiraffe: Something's Missing...
Oh, yeah. The obligatory post wishing everyone happiness on the anniversary of someone else's birth a few thousand years ago.

Jesus seems to me to belong to a similar type as Hercules. Hear me out.

1) Half-human, half-god
2) Power established through miracles or miraculous labors.
3) Killed by trusted companion.

Since I'm using the Wii to post, I'm unable to look up more, but those are what I can come up with off the top of my head.

Merry Christmas.

Mood: Festive...NOT!
Jesus: Christ
Hercule: Lees

2-HeadedGiraffe: *%$#ing Bull&#*%!
My laptop needs a new screen, so it's going into the shop tomorrow. At the moment, I'm browsing the 'net and posting from my Wii. My older desktop is hooked up, but it lacks an Internet connection, since this room has nowhere to plug the cable in.

I've been working on the holiday story for Bob in New Boise, but I have no means of posting strips at the moment. Waa!

Really, I don't have anything else important to say, but I thought I'd make a post.

So ha.

Mood: Inwardly contemplative

2-HeadedGiraffe: Evolution Day?
Today in 1859, Charles Darwin's On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection or the Preservation of Favored Races in the Struggle for Existence was published.

Today in 1974, the Australopithecus afarensis nicknamed "Lucy" after the Beatles song Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds was discovered.

Also, in 1639, Jeremiah Horrocks observed the transit of Venus, and in 1969, the second manned mission to the moon, Apollo 12, returned to Earth.

As Dexter would say, "Today is a good day...for science!"

2-HeadedGiraffe: So Dark the Games of Wii
There are so far three major franchise first-party games on the Wii. In order of release, they are:

1) Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
2) Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
3) Super Mario Galaxy.

Has anyone else noticed the theme here? Twilight has its own sort of dark world, Twilight. Corruption features several dark characters along the lines of Dark Samus. Galaxy takes place in space and such, so there's a lot of inherent darkness even in such a bright thing as a Mario game.

The theme is darkness.

Game: Super Mario Galaxy
Stars: Eight
TV: M*A*S*H
Cell Phone: Charging
