2-HeadedGiraffe: Halloween Came Early, So It Seems
Vent has shed its Halloween costume a day early, so it seems. Now, whether you liked it or not, losing it before Halloween just seems sad. I hope Vent is still planning on partying tonight.

2-HeadedGiraffe: Sharing is Caring
Imagine my surprise to log onto Vent this morning and discover the Care Bears theme, which I'm assuming is Halloween (and rightly so; what could be scarier?). Nice work, B, though some of the stuff is somewhat hard to read, like where the purple text overlaps a blue or purple bear. Still, very cool.

This week and next, my comic is celebrating Halloween as well as the characters come to a peculiar revelation about the nature of their house. Check it out, yo (the first comic of the Halloween story is here, BTW.

2-HeadedGiraffe: Tentative Plans
As of now, my plan is to update my comic Saturday - Wednesday. That's five days a week, but I wanted to include the weekend because there just aren't enough comics I know of that update on weekends unless they update seven days a week.

2-HeadedGiraffe: Well I Just Heard the News Today (Okay, Last Night, But Still)
Robert Jordan has passed away. Twisting his own words can express my feelings on the matter better than I can myself, so check out my little tribute strip on my site:

Tribute Strip in my Comic

From the little I've heard, a number of people were taking notes for him and stuff. It's possible the final book of the Wheel of Time might still appear in some form. Who will get the honor of being the Christopher to his J.R.R. Tolkien?

Edit: props and kudos to our very own Steve (Fuzmeister) for the site design. It still needs more content added, but the whole functionality of the archive and stuff is all him.

2-HeadedGiraffe: Alex and the Question of the Mind
Alex has died.

From what I've heard, it sounds to me as if he and some other animals (such as gorillas like Koko who can use sign language or a pair of chimps from whom I wish I had a link who they taught to associate symbols and even combinations of letters with different objects) have some understanding of the meanings of words. It seems they are able to learn to express thoughts and desires. They're individuals with unique brains that are, even if only on a simple level, capable of communicating with us. I would not be in the least surprised to find out we shared this little blue-green marble with a number of other sentient or at least presentient species.

Sometimes, when people ask if we're alone, I wonder if the answer isn't a little closer to home than they imagine.

But that's all just speculation.

Mood: Saddened and Curious
Music: From down the hall
Etc: Japanese Class
