2-HeadedGiraffe: I
As I promised on the S+F forum, this post is about the Wii games I have. As an added bonus, I'm posting from my Wii. Here goes:
Elebits
This is a fun little game. Basically anything you want to move or manipulate in the environment, you can. You have to find and capture Elebits, who like to hide in or behind just about everything. Essentially, it's a game about tearing the house apart and making a mess. Fun, in an off-beat, creative way, the sort of innovation we should be lucky enough to see more often.
Exite Truck
A racing game with a twist. The goal is not just to come in first, but also to earn stars. You get stars by making long jumps, smashing into other trucks, drifting, or doing any of several other such things. This adds an element not typical for the genre, adding, IMHO, to the experience. The steering wheel control scheme is a great use of the technology.
Mortal Kombat: Armageddon
I've seen bad reviews, but this plays nicely on Wii. The controls are interesting, if not always the best setup. Other than that, typical fighter, though it's not as impossibly difficult as some entries in the series, which is a plus.
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
I'm only on dungeon three, but so far, this seems like a GCN game with Wii controls tacked on. I'm not convinced this is better than the GCN version, just different. As is, though, it's probably the most interesting 3-d Zelda so far, just because of some of the things it's done differently already.
Wii Sports
Surprisingly good. I thought it would get old very quickly, but so far, it hasn't. The baseball is far too simple, but it's great otherwise.
Hand tired. Me stop writing.
Mood: Content
Music: Cindy Lauper - All Through the Night
Etc.: 530 and 222
