toodldo_4julie: the joys of blockbuster
a woman called the store tonight and bitched at me and my manager (saying things like how she was gonna sue us for harrassment and get her attorney involved) because she was receiving automated voice messages saying that she had overdue items. she claimed she now lived in harrisonburg, and hadn't used her blockbuster card in like 10 years or so. we looked up her account via the harrisonburg branch, and it said it'd been active in our neck of the woods w/in the last week. there were two names on the account other than the lady's, two men. we called her back once we got as much info as we could. when we told her that her account was being used in our blockbuster, and that it was via one of the two guys on her account, she flew off the hook and bitched and cussed and we got a few words out of it that weren't profane that said something about her 'ex-husband'.

she then tried to tell us it was our fault that her ex husband still had access to her account.

the only way that a name can be taken off an account (like the extra people on a main person's account) is if the main person comes in w/ a photo id and changes his/her account.

stupid woman.

meanwhile another customer tried to tell us that we'd rented him the wrong movie when we checked him out the movie that he handed us directly. (the movie inside the box was the same movie as titled on the outside)

of course he didn't bring it back to us until after he'd watched it (he must have not noticed until the end that lilo and stitch 2 wasn't sahara)

and he still wanted a refund/credit on his accout.

Mood: slightly amused at the stupidity
