Well, I'm not going to lie - New Super Mario Bros. has not excited me all that much. However, with Nintendo announcing both Super Mario Galaxy and Super Paper Mario, I think I may have significantly wet myself. I mean, two retro-esque Mario games coming out relatively soon? I will get a Wii if for no other reason than to play the new Mario game and some of the other stuff.
As for Super Paper Mario on the Gamecube, who would've thought we'd see such a high profile release with the system seemingly on its last leg. I mean, we're on the brink of a new hardware generation and it makes me happy that Nintendo hasn't forgotten about their little underdog of a console. However, I'm not sure the same can be said about the GBA. I don't think I've seen anything announced for the aging handheld at this E3. I would have thought that after releasing the Game Boy Micro, Nintendo would've had a few new titles coming out on the GBA. Ah, well. I think I'm going to play some old-school Mario in preparation for the coming titles. |

I'm always surprised when playing games on the Super Nintendo (SMB, Metroid, etc...)or older how I can remember all the hidden 1up locations, various ghost house exits, tricks, glitches, weapon locations, and other various bits and pieces.
The gaming factoid that will always stick with me bothers me the most. It's the kind of thing that I insist should have been forgotten at some point, but always remains lodged in the back of my head. In fact, whenever I recite it to a fellow gamer, I often receive an odd look followed by, "Why the hell do you still know that?"
I'll share here, just in case it comes in handy for any of you.
Should you find yourself playing Mike Tyson's Punch-Out (or even the Tyson free version, I believe) you can go straight to the ear-biting action by inputing the following: 007-373-5963.
Stick that in your Konami code and smoke it.
