Doubtful. In my opinion the oversaturation of media has actually made younger minds less fertile, while beer has stimulated more than one intellectual conversation in my life.

Hmm...is illegally downloading and stealing music better than illegally drinking underage? I suppose the difference lies in the fact that some college students can legally drink. Exceedingly few use their iPods completely legitimately. Most people I know, at least, have at least some illegal music.

The stuff some of these people listen to, as well, isn't actually the cultural cream of the crop.
