Sure, Zelda will...um...do whatever that means, but keep in mind it's EASILY the weakest of Nintendo's main franchises by a long shot. I'll probably get it at some point if I get a Wii, but there's stuff I'm really looking forward to more.

Before anyone flames me or anything, Zelda is good, but it's not really the best Nintendo has to offer.

The stupidest thing Nintendo ever did was make Zelda into a 3d game. They should have left the engine the same and expanded the world. More puzzles. Longer game play. Just my buck-fifty.

Well, there you go. The older Zelda games were better, though I did enjoy Wind Waker. The original just feels...I don't know. Special? It's not quite like anything else out there. The Zelda games all feel fairly similar, though. Give me some nice innovations in Twilight Princess while keeping the good stuff and I'm sold.

Always loved my Zelda. I wouldn't say it is the weakest Nintendo franchise... maybe that goes to F-Zero (still cool though). Metroid does pretty poorly in the Japenese demographic if I remember correctly; they barely blink when a new Metroid game comes out.

Zelda to 3D wasn't the problem. The problem was how they continued to make the games more linear and make the means to beating the game so much more apparent. Ocarina was ranked the best game of all time by a lot of people, but I think that without the exploration factor, it's just another adventure game... only with Zelda characters. Story's still pretty solid though.

I wasn't thinking of F-Zero, since it's only a couple games, but you're right. Personally, I think Metroid is the most improved of the major Nintendo franchises by converting the 3D. Mario's really good, too, but not the same. Zelda's almost too the same. They're fun, but they're all the same.

Yeah - Metroid might've been the best jump from 2D to 3D a series has ever taken. My vote for worst goes to Sonic The Hedgehog - frickin' awesome as a sidescroller, but pretty generic as a 3D platformer. Sonic was never about platforming though, I guess... which is why it failed. The new one on Wii is supposed to bring back some of the feeling of the old games.
