That was seriously like a minute and a half too long. He'd exhausted all the lyrics within a few seconds and then just kept repeating them while adding stereotypical hiphop terms (to the left, to the right, aw yeah, don't stop, let's dance, bring it down, aw yeah).

But as an Advertisement, I think its pretty good. You sure wouldn't forget the message anytime soon. The rap is so catchy that you can only get out of your head with a bullet.

It looks like they edited several commercials into a music video. I think it's great. It informs you of what the store is about and tries to convince you to visit.
How would you improve the ad? I'm curious. I saw a few shots that could have been improved color-wise, but overall the video is shot well enough for a local ad. The producer avoided using too many graphic. If you have ever produced video locally, you know how hard it is to convince the client that they don't need to fill every frame with text. The jingle gets in your head, and in :30 second chunks might even be fun in a cheesy sing along kind of way. You say you could do better, but you don't know what the budget/time constraints were. Snazzy and I both work in local advertising. Trust our opinions. It may not be a good national ad, but locally it probably works.

yep. I woke up this morning and still remembered the information having only seen the video once. viewer recall like that means that they could spend less on their media-buy.

The fact that the whole intarweb is passing the video around seems like fairly good advertising to me as well...

I suppose locally it's really not too bad considering some of the crap I've seen. I don't know what kind of an area this "flea market" is located in though. I guess the cheesiness is what turned me off - yes, it's funny - yes, it's memorable - yes, it was probably cheap to produce. It's definately cheesy though - y'know what - a lot of commercials have been and always will be.

I may want to retract my statement about Flea Market Montgomery.
