I've been awaiting this as well, but guess what.

My Wii bricked! Nintendo is currently repairing it.

*sigh*

Wii's can break six months in? Crappy first generation hardware.

Be fair, it's only been less than 5 months.

Oh, wait...

That's with extremely moderate use as well, since it's been largely ignored in favor of FFXII and WoW lately.

Something I forgot to mention.

I think there are going to be different colored versions of the Wii in the future. The reason being that the description of my unit in the repair status section of the Nintendo website includes "white" in the description. If all Wii's are going to be white, this would seem unnecessary.

A black Wii would look delicious.

Pretty much every piece of Nintendo hardware comes out in one or two colors at first, then eventually comes out in more. Not really surprising.

I will always fondly remember the Play It Loud series of Nintendo's Game Boy. That was the first case of multiple system colors with Nintendo, I believe. Unless you count foreign vs. domestic consoles.

I got Super Paper Mario, by the way, too.
