fuzmeister: Underrated Games: Cleopatra
Gameplay shot!

Originally released as an arcade game in Japan by Taito (Bubble Bobble, Space Invaders) in 1996, Cleopatra's Fortune seems to be just another Tetris clone for the Sony Playstation at first. However, the style of play is actually quite unique and challenging. I found this game in early 2004 with a bunch of other budget games in, I think, Erie, PA. The graphics are what you would expect from a mid-90s 2D puzzle game with lots of colorful sprites and fun little animations from the game's lead character who cheers you on as you play.

I'm not going to say this is the end-all/be-all of 2D puzzle games, but it's a severely underrated game from one of the once-great game developers that will offer a lot of fun to any fan of the genre.
