I've been picky in selecting the labels I wanted to send material to. The sad truth is that if you want to do this sort of thing for a living, it's impossible to promote the hell out of yourself to the point where you've got this huge fan-base... unless you're rich. Then you can wire volcanoes to erupt out your name and brainwash cab drivers in only going to the record store to buy your record for their customers.

Have you looked into CDbaby? I've heard of independent artists using that since it has good returns.

I listened to the new record and, I must say, it is pretty decent.

CDBaby is similar, I think, to how I've been doing things. The key with submitting demos to a label is promotion/financing recording.
