I did say that I had the solution. Then I said shorthand and left several lines of white. You could have stopped there. Unless you read bottom up, you chose to read on and ruin the puzzle.

If you wanted to solve it, why would you read the comments first? What else would be in them?

is it blanket statement or blanket testament. I know that both words fit, but blanket statement makes more sense.

I find it interesting and appropriate that "statement" and "testament" are anagrams.
