I nominate myself for guru status seeing as how I have been registered on Vent for over six years this month. I also think I am l337 enough to pass the specifications that remain undefined. Petition for it, people!

Also, what ever happened to the ask the gurus page? I had many more questions and there were never enough answers...

how about "I declare myself!" It's pro-active.
Nominating yourself is like declaring but with a pathetic vote plea added.

just don't say "I declare" like a southern belle.
Be a man about it.

2-HeadedGiraffe - (*(..)*)

Declaring without authority to do so or the power to make your declarations come to pass accomplishes nothing. As Steve would have to have the power of a Guru to make himself a Guru, simply declaring himself one would not give him any of the powers or status associated with being a Guru.

The best Guru, btw, was Gaspar, Guru of Time, but that's a different sort of Guru.
