All we have done is usher in a new president. There is a lot to hope for, but talk of a "new age" is premature. "New ages" are usually seen with hindsight, not foresight.

No seriously. They pay for stuff, and I would love for our country to be out of debt one of these days.

And besides, financial types are just glad to see the end of the Bush administration, did you see trading today. The polls hadn't even been close to closing and the markets were up. At least I think they were. If I'm wrong correct me, please.

I agree. Be happy about actual accomplishments.
Be hopeful about future accomplishments.
Reminding someone not to confuse the two is not the same as pissing on a parade.

I actually agree with Archi here. He's merely offering the same counterpoint I would have offered someone excited about a McCain presidency.
