For new ww2 movies I think Defiance is better

I don't think Tarantino's point is to make a film that is a "WWII film." I think that just provides a good backdrop for whatever type of story he weaves.

well in that case from what i have seen of his movies the story should be mindless slaughter of hundreds of people and really bad cartoon style bloodshed.

Guess you haven't seen much of his movies.

If you watch the original, you'll see that it was a spaghetti western style set in WWII. It isn't supposed to be historically accurate.

I have been looking forward to this film for several years now. I'm almost giddy.
