fuzmeister: Extensive Back Catalogs
Q: What do Neil Young, Frank Zappa, and Miles Davis all have in common?
A: Ridiculously extensive back catalogs.
Seriously, I don't know how a casual fan could ever escalate to a hardcore one based on how much material these guys have released.
I've been listening to Neil Young for nearly six years and I probably still haven't fully digested even 30% of his work.
...now back to your regularly-scheduled internet ramblings.

Alice Cooper has a phenomenal backcat (26 albums if Wikipedia is correct). One of my favorite Coop albums is Lace&Whiskey, a practically forgotten old gem.
Smashing Pumpkins don't have the longest discography, but they do have oodles and oodles of b-sides, rarities, promo tracks, onesies, and unpublished songs. I spent a lot of time in the old Napster days discovering thar stuff.
