fuzmeister: Probably My Only Political Post (AKA My Two Cents)
In response to the recent disrespect for poor Ethan and the apparent political fever instated, I have decided to post a post... or rant... you decide. My apologies to Ethan - and for the rest of you folks, let the man do what he will. His viewpoints literally have no effect on what you do. In short, let's just all do what we would do and at least feign respect for our fellow Ventilators.
I absolutely loathe Rupert Murdock's political lapdog of a news network. Their coverage of issues and disrespect of unbias makes them a prime candidate for official idiocy.
Nor do I approve of the Patriot Act and its foolish attempt to seize our God-given rights to privacy.
However, I side to the right with many "hot button" issues plaguing America today. Abortion? Maybe situational... but I don't think so unless we're allowed to purge the elderly from usurping tax dollars as vegetables too. Hell, let's just kill everyone who is an inconveniece.
Bring religion/faith/spirituality into the government? Not unless we taylor to all the vast beliefs we claim to embrace as an open-minded country; oh, this includes Christianity too and that other "evil" stuff. I think we'd be wise to either be secular entirely or to embrace all beliefs.
As for the war in Iraq - can we just not talk about it? Won't that make it go away? Guess not.
Independent, impulsive moderate, or ignoramus? You decide.
I'm interested to see what and how many comments I get for this post.

If he had said Christians, Jews, blacks, women, or any other protected class were "sick", I would have responded in like.
If it isn't hurting anyone, there is no reason for us to pass judgement on it. Homosexuals don't inherently hurt anyone by being gay, so leave them be. "Poor" Ethan's comments could very well hurt homosexuals. That is wrong.
Now why don't we all stop making a mountain out of this mole-hill.
