So I've been reviewing the second volume of Dante's Divine Comedy: Purgatorio. It's a very interesting to me because there is little or no biblical basis for the ideas Dante writes about in it. That means that he himself had to be very creative in making purgatory a balanced middle-ground. It's nice to imagine a place where even murderers can be granted amnesty.
I was also thinking - how cool would it be to have the Divine Comedy in visual form tattooed across one's entire back. The left would be the starting point and the right would be the finale. That means Satan would have to be somewhere on the person's shoulder blade. Cool.
