As a long-time Nintendo fan, watching the Switch 2 direct presentation this morning is refreshing.

It seems like they're making consecutive good decisions following the last generation of hardware which, historically, they haven't always done.

The new system looks like a nice upgrade with some cool new features. None of those features look exceptionally gimmicky or intrusive.

Launching a mere two months from the full reveal is also an ace move. Good stuff!

Wow-wee - it sure is good to see Vent somewhat active again though it's sadly for reasons which I'll try avoid repeating here.

The new record I worked on with Nick Tiberi and Brandon Martinazzi over the course of 3+ years finally releases today. By far, this is the longest production cycle for any musical project I've worked on and I'm very proud of what we accomplished.

It's very easy in 2024 to overlook the effort and care that goes into creating a cohesive album's worth of songs. Outside of the final audio mastering, everything was engineered, mixed, produced, recorded, blah blah blah within our small circle of collaboration.

I would ask if you're a fan of music or a friend of mine to please take a listen to this record (or a handful of songs if you're short on time). As a songwriter, I am trying to create experiences that emotionally-resonate with listeners and I think there are a few moments here that have that potential.

I appreciate any support and people like you supporting the arts at large in general. Between things like TikTok, artificial intelligence, and the like taking center stage as we move ahead, I have a sad suspicion that even fewer and fewer "homespun" projects will captivate people's already-waning attention span.
