I am playing a gig tonight at the Shadow Lounge in Pittsburgh. This is significant mostly because it's the first gig I'm playing in almost two years with a full band set up. The new outfit is called Steve Thompson&The Professionals and we're mostly working with my newer songs from God's Justice.

I'm pretty darn excited about it. If anyone who reads Vent will be in the area (highly unlikely), stop by. :)

fuzmeister: Another Gig Tomorrow Night in Pittsburgh

Tomorrow night, I'm playing with the band at PD's Pub in the Squirrel Hill area of Pittsburgh. It should be a good show and the show's audio is being recorded. I'm hoping the audio turns out good enough that I can release a live EP via the internet for all the loyal fans; it'll probably be another freebie, but feature some live highlights that don't have any planned studio album homes yet. I guess we'll know tomorrow night what's going to happen with that - stay tuned!

Gigs can be hit or miss. Last night, the crowd wasn't very big at Fat Boys in Connellsville, but there was some great enthusiasm from a few audience members. It's hard sometimes to really get into things during such a long set when the audience is really passive.



On the bright side, we played a few songs that haven't been played yet such as I Know (which sounded stellar) and Double Portion / Spanish Rise. It was definitely a fun night albeit a little under our expectations.



Next scheduled gig isn't until March, but we may get something thrown in before that. Full details (along with the setlist) available here.

fuzmeister: Boswell, PA

Wednesday night we did a community benefit show in Boswell, PA. Though the crowd was kind of thin, we still had a good time and played some great tunes. No technical difficulties like the last show either!



There were four other acts playing that night. My personal favorite was Jody Perigo who played ukulele and sang. Her last song was a cover of Michael Jackson's Beat It that just sounded awesome on a uke.
