fuzmeister: Anti-Genre
So lately I've been doing this thing where I try to reclassify songs into categories they wouldn't normally be put into. Today I heard the song I'm Henry the Eighth, I Am by Herman's Hermits and it seemed like a primitive/early punk rock song even though it's obviously categorized as part of the 60s British Invasion. I also have been thinking of a number of songs as blues that normally wouldn't be considered blues songs. Bob Dylan, Beatles, etc.
The irony of it all is that I do not believe genre boundaries, but I am classifying things into genres.
I know Kyle will hate this post because he believes in order while I believe in chaos.
Mood: Tired
Music: Sweet - Ballroom Blitz
