I had a job interview today at PTC. I think it went pretty well and it seems like a neat place to work. We'll see if they want me. The commute would probably force me to move further west. Not a problem, I guess, but one thing at a time. And they use JAVA. Huzzah and such.

Tomorrow is PS3 day - in half an hour or so, I guess. I played Playstation 3 the other day and was not impressed. The frame rate dropped to a choppy level at one point. Unacceptable for a system priced in excess of $500. As for Wii, our local stores don't have kiosks yet. I'm hoping tomorrow will be different. The next generation officially begins this weekend.

Kate scored me an LCD monitor from her ex-roommate Alyssa today. It's pretty sweet, but I can't figure out how to get the resolution higher than 1024x768. All in good time, I guess.

So I went to a job fair today near Pittsburgh. It was overwhelming, but overall a good experience. I spoke with some cool girls from a company called PTC and they might have just what I'm looking for. Sounds like a good opportunity.

I also went to Best Buy and scored Chibi Robo for $14.99 and the new acoustic live Foo Fighters LP. Good day.

I know it's only a bit after midnight, but I just wanted to make the first official announcement (for a seemingly politically educated online community) that today is Election Day. Hit up those polls, people!

Also, here is part 4 of that Zelda retrospective. This one deals with the two Oracle games for GBC (terribly overlooked by many including me, I think) and Four Swords (the original bonus game with Link to the Past GBA). Enjoy!

Check it out here. Don't you just love how none of these posts really have anything to do with me. Well, I suppose they do. Let me proceed to tell you how I feel about Ocarina of Time in a couple of lines...

Pretty solid game with a move story-driven style of gameplay. The exploration found in the earlier Zelda games was virtually non-existent in this title with that ass-hole owl telling you each and every objective.

"Hoot, hoot - Link! It's time to eat a sammich."

I hated that feathery fiend. Anyways... if you haven't played this game yet, you're probably living under a rock, over the age of 60, or mildly retarded... all of which are valid excuses, I guess. Ocarina of Time may have been voted the best game of all time by a bunch of game publications, but I think it's just pretty good - not great.

There you go. A personal touch.
