Last night's gig went well. We did about an hour of music. The sound guy on-hand knew how to work the boards and make us sound good; he even had the mics on hand to mic drums, amps, and Dave's sax. Everyone was very nice and very professional.

Dante's was a good venue. I'd love to go back and play when university is in session to draw a bigger crowd. Here's to the first of many posts regarding gigs.

You can get some more details here including the full setlist and some links to video.

fuzmeister: Advert Break!
Some of you may already be aware, but my first album Allusions To A God is available for purchase now from iTunes and AmazonMP3.

On AmazonMP3, you can get the whole album DRM-free for a mere $6.99 - talk about a steal! That's less than 78 cents per track!

Wowzers!

Not sure anyone's missed it, but look for The Enigmatic Standard EP available in some format soon as well!

Seeing Foo Fighters tomorrow in Pittsburgh with my ol' buddy Steve Scott. I'm hoping that Dave Grohl's voice has recovered since he blew it out in Seattle. It should be a good, rockin' show and the opener is a band I've never heard, so I'm excited to hopefully get into some new music along with the experience.

fuzmeister: Relapse To Less
I guess sometimes we do things for the sheer enjoyment of doing them. I attempt to subscribe to a belief in which their is sound reason besides such for doing everything; I try to live by this philosophy at least. However, we occasionally all seem to require or want the necessary mindless drivel that just makes us go "hurrr, yay!"

I listened to some Darude and Robert Miles this evening after work. It was virtually mindless though I must say I noticed some things in their music I didn't roughly six years ago or so when I was going through that musical phase of my life.

There's quite a stark influence from ambient music which I have grown to love so much... particularly on Miles' Dreamland album.

Never say never I guess and never condemn anything 100%... you may come back to find good in it someday.

Mood: Nostalgic
