In the same vein as my previous shutdown shortcut post, here's an easy way to restart your computer with a desktop icon. Simply create a new shortcut to:

%windir%System32shutdown.exe -r -f -t 00

There you have it. Another exciting installment of useless Windows XP tricks with Fuzmeister.

fuzmeister: File Utilitarianism

A while back, Andy Woodward asked me to create a file utility that could list all of the files in a directory and subsequent subdirectories and output them to a text file. It doesn't sound that hard to do, but I've had a doozy of a time finding the time to work on it. Well, today I finally got my ass in gear and here it is.

dSpill v1.1

• Scan a directory and get a comprehensive list of files
  
• Optional subdirectory inclusion for scanning
  
• View the size of any of the files (in bytes) and special attributes
  
• Directly write the file listing to a text file (dir.txt)

fuzmeister: Hate To Burst Your Balloon, But...

So yesterday's post was an April Fool's joke. No one apparently was affected by it. That either means you don't care about S+F Software or you didn't read my Vent post. Shame on you either way! Ha ha.

Today I was browsing the anals of ticalc.org and I came across a game by Andreas Ess called Balloon for the TI-85 and TI-86. I never actually had either of those calculators, but, man, this game was pretty darn impressive. The idea itself just really made me warm with nerdy delight.

I have decided to try and contact Mr. Ess someday and either remake this game for the computer or create one hell of a clone.

Well - today I did something I thought I would never do. I've officially decided to end S+F Software as we know it. The problem of actually getting work done has proved too difficult to tackle. Thanks to everyone that made the dream possible.
