fuzmeister: Chuck Berry Endorses Obama
Obama rocks harder than McCain. It's a proven fact now that the great Chuck Berry has given his endorsement for the democratic presidential nominee.

Apparently, McCain was interested in using Berry's tune Johnny B. Goode during his campaign as well.

Well, Mr. McCain, hopefully you'll consider using something more up your alley, like Scott Joplin. Actually, he probably would've endorsed Obama too. Tough luck, ol' buddy.

Sadness. Bo Diddley has passed away.

I heard it on the radio this afternoon and was quite saddened to hear of his passing.

fuzmeister: Pork + Beans

This is the new Weezer video for the song Pork and Beans. It's definitely got a cool style to it, but what I want to point out is all the cameos by YouTube "stars." Overall, I found it quite interesting... but why does Rivers Cuomo have that creepy mustache?

fuzmeister: Might have found a new drummer
So there is a good possibility that Steve Thompson's new drummer will be none other than Stephen Peck (States of Melba, ex-Zao). I'm not 100% sure on any of it yet, but there's a good chance.

Here are some videos from last weekend's States of Melba show (probably their last). You can see that I am playing bass in the corner all sad and lonesome.

Moon Bones

Just The Head of an Unassembled Cyborg

Lost Innocence / Phantom Cyclist

Sorry about the bad recording quality. Thanks for Jon Atkins for forwarding these to me.

fuzmeister: Soul Coughing
They were one of the most creative bands of the 1990s. Anyone else a fan of these guys? Last night, Kate and I went to see Mike Doughty (ex-frontman of Soul Coughing) with Dave Trinh and his girlfriend (as well as Steve Scott).

I don't know. He's got a tight live act and solid solo career going, but I don't think he will ever measure up in terms of innovation as when he was with his old band.
