An interesting article I found today called Indiana Jones and the Search for a Better Script makes some good points about how much the production process can just maim a film. I stand firm in thinking Lucas shouldn't try and make movies anymore.

That post title might be a bit drastic, but, seriously, George Lucas is a crackhead in his older age. The trailer for the up and coming Star Wars Clone Wars CG animated feature was released today.

To be frank, it looks atrocious. Why is Lucas continuing to try and remind us of his sub-par prequel universe. Look, if they had made a CG film based on Timothy Zahn's Heir To The Empire trilogy of novels, I wouldn't have half the problem I have with the new Clone Wars film.

Come to think of it... why didn't they look to Zahn's acclaimed novels for some prequel inspiration?

fuzmeister: I've Been Keeping Up With The Jones'

Saw the new Indiana Jones flick on Thursday night. I can't say it was bad, but I think a lot of people will dislike the whole sci-fi aspect of the film. I felt like that part was detached from the rest of the franchise.

Overall, it's a fun movie worthy of the name, but I can see it being quite controversial among the series fans. As for me, I need to see it again to really judge it well.

Ok, so Iron Man has been very lucrative to Marvel the past couple of days. I have yet to see it myself, but I plan to relatively soon. Today I was joking about how Marvel is starting to pick more obscure super heroes and jokingly said how they will make a Thor movie to combat the highly successful Aquaman trilogy.

Well, low and behold, it appears Thor is in development as is Captain America and The Avengers. Seriously, filmmakers have been milking this comic book movie thing the past few years a bit too much if you ask me.

Don't even get me started on Antman.

I just watched two trailers and think I had a handful of baby heart attacks in the process. The Dark Knight's trailer was so highly anticipated and it does not disappoint. Heath Ledger's Joker performance continues to impress me. Unfortunately, we'll have to wait until July to see how things end up in that one.

Coming sooner (this month to be precise), is Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. This trailer also looks really good and looks like everything went fairly well in preserving the whole Indiana Jones feeling. I haven't been this excited about upcoming films in years. Seriously.
