Not sure if this is really concrete information, but I'd pay some serious dough to see Pink Floyd live. Perhaps as much or more as I'd pay to see a Zeppelin show. Who knows if this will happen, but it would be great. The world needs more Pink Floyd right now.

Tonight it occurred to me that Swan Song sounds a little bit like something Joy Division might have done. My favorite part about Swan song is there's this like infinite delay that just keeps sort of going on on the one channel - it's very atmospheric and, to be honest, I'm not even sure how we did that.

I get strangely inspired by things such as Nine Inch Nails Ghosts I-IV. It's weird really, but sometimes I get a spur of bizarre creativity where I just want to be totally surreal. Tonight I had an idea to create some experimental music which is nothing new (see examples 1 and 2). I shot some video a few weeks back while driving in the snow and I thought it would be something awesome with some strange sort-of music backing it.

Anywho, back in 2004 I had a brief period where I would write these experimental pieces (poems some would consider them, I guess) just as quickly as I could to be sort-of a stream-of-consciousness type thing. Some sucked, but some were quite interesting.

My idea is to possibly combine those writings with some brand new experimental music and some video clips... sort of a multimedia experiment, if you will. I'd probably release just the music for free as a download or something.

Kate surprised me with this today - an engagement present perhaps? She had been in Canada for her spring break and stopped by my beloved guitar center on the way back. Awesome piece of guitar; I can't wait to really rock it out. Perfect sound for what I'm going for in recording NoVA.
