fuzmeister: Post For Tyree
So, Nathan said it was somewhat dead around here as of late. I figured I'd post some ramblings to give everyone here a way to kill a little time (and maybe a little part of their soul if my cynicism carries over to others).
Anyone else think it's ironic for a company to send its employees to Cancun and an all-inclusive resort for training sessions. Yes, I get the idea of networking over copious amounts of alcohol, but that doesn't mean I think the knowledge retention will be good. In fact, it'll probably suck. I shudder to think how much they spent on this considering "the numbers weren't good enough" to give us our yearly salary boosts.
As for non-nine-to-five activities, my new EP is coming along quite nicely. Five tracks - all acoustic covers like last year's EP release. Although, that was basically a collection of demo-quality tracks. The tracks I've been working on lately are much closer to the quality you get in a professional studio courtesy of my friend Matt who engineered the EP and provided percussion on one track. Hopefully, it's reasonably well-received. It will be a free download like the first Blanket Statement album.
Anywho, I suppose that's all for now. The wife and I are buying a house. It should be superb.
Until next time (and Cancun)...
Mood: Groggy, Still.
