fuzmeister: Might have found a new drummer
So there is a good possibility that Steve Thompson's new drummer will be none other than Stephen Peck (States of Melba, ex-Zao). I'm not 100% sure on any of it yet, but there's a good chance.

Here are some videos from last weekend's States of Melba show (probably their last). You can see that I am playing bass in the corner all sad and lonesome.

Moon Bones

Just The Head of an Unassembled Cyborg

Lost Innocence / Phantom Cyclist

Sorry about the bad recording quality. Thanks for Jon Atkins for forwarding these to me.

fuzmeister: Swan Division / Joy Song
Tonight it occurred to me that Swan Song sounds a little bit like something Joy Division might have done. My favorite part about Swan song is there's this like infinite delay that just keeps sort of going on on the one channel - it's very atmospheric and, to be honest, I'm not even sure how we did that.

fuzmeister: First Waive of Demo Submissions
I'm sending my first set of demo recordings for NoVA out to several labels ranging in size and stature. Here's a list of the handful being mail-attacked by my music in the next couple days:

Some of those are pretty ambitious/stupid - I guess we'll see if anything comes back.

fuzmeister: Five Day Weekend. w00t!
Kyle stopped by my place in Western PA on his way back to university. This afternoon we were at the local Target store and they had put out Metroid Prime 3 early. We picked up our copies a few hours earlier than planned (we had been considering a midnight pick up at Wal-Mart). So far, it's pretty cool - kind of hard to make a really good statement about it since I've only played for maybe an hour to an hour and a half. I will put everyone's fears aside though and say this: the controls do rock... A level of control in a first person console game I've never felt before.

This morning I basically laid the groundwork for Kyle's web comic in PHP. I am proud of myself as I didn't think I could figure a way to do it with the naming convention and such for the images. In the end it looks good so far. Another accomplishment involving this week's house-guest involved getting his new GPS hooked up - it's a real cool unit... it's really hot outside though so the suction cup technology is not living up to the hype.

Saturday night I played a small little acoustic set at Duane and Steve's house-warming party. Dave Trinh (ex-States of Melba) joined me on saxophone and Tony Regola played bass. Duane wrote a review of the set and you can read it here. It seemed everyone had a fun time. There is a video of me playing Power Lines with Dave and Tony floating around on YouTube; I'm too lazy to get the exact link at the moment though.

Kate started her last year of university this week. Pretty crazy how fast time flies. She's going to be busy doing R.A. stuff again for a while, but it's well worth it for the compensation.

Also, my hair is growing back.
